At Womanhood, we are committed to supporting the academic success of women and girls through our scholarship programs. Our scholarships provide essential financial assistance to help students access the tools and resources they need to excel in their education. Through these scholarships, Womanhood invests directly in the education and future of our members, reinforcing our commitment to leadership, empowerment, and lifelong learning.
The Alfredlene Armstrong Scholarship – This scholarship is dedicated to Tougaloo College students and Womanhood members, helping cover the cost of textbooks and academic materials. It honors the guidance and mentorship of Mrs. Alfredlene Armstrong, our first advisor, who played a pivotal role in establishing Womanhood.
The Melanie S. Dotson Scholarship – This scholarship supports Mass Communications major students enrolled at Tougaloo College by providing funding for cameras, lighting, tripods, microphones and other educational tools and resources, ensuring students have what they need to succeed in their studies. Womanhood honors the life and memory of Melanie S. Dotson.
